Meet the team

  • Dr Jamie Duckers – Project lead, Cardiff & Vale University Health Board
    • Jamie is a research active Cystic Fibrosis consultant. He holds a Welsh Government Clinical Research Time Award, and is a Bevan Health Technology Exemplar, the research lead for the All Wales Adult CF Service, and R+D departmental lead for Internal Medicine for C&V UHB.
  • Professor David Taylor Robinson, Farr Institute
    • David is a social epidemiologist and public health physician at Liverpool University with a background in paediatrics. He has extensive experience of working with CF registry data in the UK and is a co-lead of the UK CF Epidemiological Network and will advise on the statistical analysis of the CF registry data. David will lead Work Package 1 (analysis of Cystic Fibrosis registry data)
  • Professor Shantini Paranjothy, Cardiff University
    • Shantini is an epidemiologist and public health physician based at Cardiff University and Scientific Lead for HealthWise Wales. She will provide methodological and study management expertise.
  • Dr Rhiannon Phillips, Cardiff Metropolitan University
    • Rhiannon is a Health Psychologist who has extensive experience in mixed-methods research and in identifying information and support needs for women with long-term conditions when they are starting a family. She will lead Work Package 2 (decision aid development).
  • Dr Denitza Williams, Cardiff University
    • Denitza is a psychologist with a specific interest in shared decision-making and the use of qualitative methods in the context of women’s reproductive health. She will lead on qualitative aspects of field-testing the decision aid.
  • Dr Daniela Schlüter, Liverpool University
    • Daniela is a biostatistician with extensive experience of working with CF registry data in the UK. She is a member of the UK CF Epidemiological network. She will supervise the statistical analysis in WP1.
  • Cleo Goodchild, Patient and Public Involvement member
    • Cleo  is a person living with CF. As a member of the Study Management Group, Cleo will contribute to all aspects of the project based on her lived experiences.
  • Dr Catherine O’Leary, Lead Clinical Psychologist for the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre, is a member of our decision aid development group

  • Mrs Alison Prosser, Lead Cystic Fibrosis Specialist Nurse, for the All Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Centre is a member of our decision aid development group
